A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University and JSC “Terabank”. The memorandum aims to promote the development of vocational education, train qualified personnel in the financial sector and expand opportunities for students to gain practical experience.
The Center of Vocational Programs Management and Continuing Education of Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University hosted the 2025 fall admission of vocational students.The event was opened by BSU Rector Tite Aroshidze, who congratulated the students on the start of the educational process and wished them success in their professional development. The Rector thanked the partner organizations for their active cooperation and emphasized the importance of employer involvement in the effective implementation of professional programs.
An informational and educational seminar on the topic: "Prevention of HIV/AIDS and Tuberculosis in Georgia" was held at Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University for vocational education students and vocational education teachers.
Within the framework of the internationalization of vocational education, teachers of the agricultural direction visited Germany. Among them was BSU vocational education teacher Jimsher Diasamidze. Vocational education teachers were on an international visit to the Weinstein University of Applied Sciences in Triesdorf. Within the framework of the visit, they visited the material and technical base of vocational education within the structure of the university, met with the director and teachers of the vocational college, attended the educational process and held discussions with German colleagues.
On December 5, 6, 7 and 8, BSU vocational teachers underwent a 20-hour training on the topic “Development of skills in the use of digital technologies”. As a result of a survey conducted to assess the digital competencies of BSU vocational education teachers, the need for staff to develop skills in the use of digital technologies in the educational process was identified. Based on this, Eka Jeladze, the manager of the “e-school” project of the education management information system and a guest teacher at Ilia State University, was invited.
