Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University signed MoA with the British Centre on bilateral cooperation. Under the memorandum, the joint cultural and educational projects. These events will involve BSU students extensively, including the forthcoming English language Olympics competition to be held by the British Centre.
Operating for over a decade, British Centre is the largest English language school in the Transcaucasia.
A Ukrainian delegation from the city of Ternopil visited on business Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University. Rector Andrei Krisovat of Ternopil National Technical University, Acting Head of the Culture and Sports Department Roman Tsikvas and Vice Mayor of Ternopil Leonid Bitsura met Deputy Rector Natia Tsiklashvili. The parties discussed the prospects of cooperation, exchange of experience and establishment of closer relations in all possible directions.
Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University and Ternopil National Technical University have already signed a Memorandum of Understanding, while the meeting will enhance the further promote collaboration of the higher educational institutions.
Jiří Preclík, political officer at NATO Liaison Office in Georgia, political met Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University students. Officer Preclík talked about of the purposes and principles of the North Atlantic Alliance, NATO-Georgia cooperation and Georgia`s NATO membership process and prospects. Mr. Preclík met the BSU Acting Rrector, Merab Khalvashi. The visit was held on the initiative of the Adjata Bureau of NATO and EU Information Center’.
The student self-government of Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the NGO ‘Multinational Georgia for Enhancement of Democratic Values’. The parties have planned cultural and educational projects for more extensive involvement of the youth in the democratic processes. Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University will host one of such projects, the UN Youth Assembly.
Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University Acting Rector Merab Khalvashi met folklore ensemble "Tirini" to congratulate with the International Festival Grand Prix. The capital city Brest the of the Republic of Belarus hosted the International Christmas Festival "We are Together". The festival brought together various creative teams from many international universities. The BSU Folk Ensemble took part in the festival for the first time. Acting Rector awarded the ensemble members certificates and expressed readiness for further support.
