Jesper Moller, the newly appointed representative of the United Nations Children`s Fund in Georgia, visited Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University. Jesper Moller spoke about the achievements and future plans of the BSU Children`s Rights Knowledge Center at an introductory meeting with BSU Rector Merab Khalvashi. Within the framework of the visit, a meeting was also held with professors and students of the Faculty of Exact Sciences and Education of BSU.

A scientific picnic "Blue Policy of the Maritime Country" was held at Shota Rustaveli State University of Batumi. Various higher educational institutions, scientific-research centers and organizations participated in the event along with BSU. In the open air, in about 30 tents the results of various scientific projects depicting the research of the Black Sea and the region, interesting experiments for students, fun activities, interactive exhibitions and quizzes were presented. The "Blue Policy of the Maritime Country" aimed to promote scientific research and innovation and to introduce the achievements of researchers to the general public.

The scientific conference "Black Sea Crossroads of Civilizations II" was opened in the framework of the scientific picnic "Blue Policy of the Maritime Country" at Shota Rustaveli State University of Batumi. The two-day conference was opened and the participants were welcomed by BSU rector Merab Khalvashi, Minister of Education, Culture and Sports of the Autonomous Republic of Ajara Maia Khajishvili, Head of the Science Development Department of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia Ketevan Kokrashvili, Mayor of Batumi Archil Chikovani, Deputy Head of the Science Development Department of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia Zaza Maruashvili, Professor of the University of Warsaw (Poland) Davit Kolbaia and Ostrava University (Czech Republic) professor Vicent Kopechak.

GAMS VIII international conference "Neurochallenges 2023 in the era of evidence-based and
personalized medicine" was held with the support of BSU. At the conference, 150 leading scientists and
doctors from the USA, Georgia, England, Germany, Israel, Sweden, Switzerland, Spain, and Turkey
presented scientific reports on the latest achievements in the medical field, treatment and research
methods. Within the framework of the conference, BSU rector Merab Khalvashi awarded honorary
certificates to professors: Irakli Sulakvelidze, Amos Korchini, Zurab Nadareishvili and Sherefnur Ozturuk
for their contribution to the development of continuous professional education and training of national
medical personnel.

Within the CBHE program of Erasmus+, the summary meeting of the "Curriculum Innovation for Social Inclusion (CISI)" consortium is being held at Batumi Shota Rustveli State University. At the three-day meeting of the consortium, Georgian and foreign participants will summarize the results of the project and plan future cooperation of the consortium partner organizations. Within the framework of the program, new courses have been introduced in partner Georgian universities, which will allow future teachers to acquire knowledge and skills on how to work with students with various special needs in the development.
