Head of the Research Support Service of BSU Tamar Machutadze visited the University of Montpellier in France in the frame of ERASMUS+programme. One week stay at the Department of the Research and PhD Management aimed at sharing the experience of the Research and PhD Management Department of the University of Montpellier.
42 students of the Faculty of Tourism of Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University left for Germany where they will be having practice in high class hotels in Germany for 3 months to learn how all key structural units of hotels function. Besides gaining theoretical knowledge, the students will get involved in everyday activities of the hotels. Moreover, they enhance the practical skills and competences that will provide them with opportunity in terms of successful employment on international tourism service market.
The mentioned practice is ensured by the memorandum concluded with the Schwerin Baltic College of Germany and the financial support of the Municipality of Batumi.
Associate Professor of the Faculty of technologies of Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University Darejan Jashi attended the regional meeting in Paris organized by Campus France. The event was dedicated to the higher education and research in the field of Agriculture. In the frame of the visit the meetings were held with the French, the Ukrainian, Kazakh, Moldavian, Armenian and Uzbek higher education institutions specializing in Agriculture. The objective of the above mentioned visit was to strengthen the relations in the field of Agronomy and Agriculture and plan joint international projects.
Iran Islamic Republic Acting Consul General in Georgia Ahmad Badpa visited Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University. The meeting with Professor Merab Khalvashi, Rector of the University was of an introductory nature aiming at defining the directions of future cooperation. Implementation of the exchange programmes and mutual study-research projects have also been planned. The parties clam that the collaboration will contribute in terms of deepening the existing connection between two countries.
Head of the Department of Political Science and Sociology at the University of Salzburg (Austria) and Coordinator of ERASMUS+Exchange programme Dr. Franz Kok visited Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University. The representative of the ERASMUS+ met the BSU ERASMUS+Exchange programme Coordinator Nana Kurshubadze, Associate professor of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences Irakli Gorgiladze, Assistant Professor Lasha Bazhunaishvili, ERASMUS+Exhange Grant Holders and the students of the mentioned faculty. Dr. Fran Kok introduced the BA and Joint MA Educational Programmes of the University of Salzburg and the University life to the hosting party. Moreover, it was agreed to cooperate further in the frame of the ERASMUS+Project together with other European Universities.
