Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University solemnly celebrated the 80th anniversary. The higher education institution exhibited unknown photographs, academic and scientific achievements. The exponents (monographs, textbooks, etc.) witnessed the vibrant life of the University. BSU’s Rector Merab Khalvashi met professors, scientists, staff and students at the Assembly Hall within the framework of the anniversary to congratulate on the event and award certificates and medals for outstanding work. The University dedicated a book: “Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University Place of Education – 80” to the jubilee. The bilingual anniversary volume offers rich unique archive materials, describing the history and the progress of BSU. The festive evening ended with the presentation of the newly composed hymn of the Univerwsity (author poet Davit Tedoradze, composer Ana Kasrashvili). BSU’s ensemble “Tbeti” and various folklore ensembles performed in the evening.
