As part of the international conference on media studies held at Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University (BSU), BSU Rector Tite Aroshidze, together with Teona Beridze, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, and Inga Shamilishvili, Head of the Journalism Programme, met with Naghash Martirosyan, Dean of the Faculty of Journalism at Yerevan State University, and Veselina Valkanova, Dean of the Faculty of Journalism and Mass Communication at Sofia University.
During the meeting, the parties discussed ways to strengthen academic cooperation in the field of journalism and outlined plans for future collaboration. The discussion focused on opportunities for students and academic staff to participate in joint research projects, share academic and professional experience, and implement exchange programmes.
The Rector also highlighted the significance of the international conference on media studies, emphasised the growing interest in the Journalism Programme at BSU, and expressed his readiness to support the further development of international cooperation and the implementation of joint initiatives.
The meeting was also attended by Tamar Dundua, Head of the International Relations Office at BSU; Tigran Simyan, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Journalism at Yerevan State University; Nikolay Mikhailov, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Journalism and Mass Communication at Sofia University; and Liana Markarian, lecturer at the Multimedia Centre of Tbilisi State University and journalist.
