A graduation ceremony was held at Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University. The graduates, dressed in graduation gowns were congratulated on the completion of their studies and wished success by BSU Rector Tite Aroshidze, Ajara A.R. Minister of Education and Sports Maia Khajishvili, Batumi Sakrebulo Chairman Ivane Maisuradze, Ajara A.R. Supreme Council Committee on Education, Science, Culture and Sports Davit Batsikadze, Batumi Sakrebulo Committee on Health and Social Issues Neriman Tsintsadze, professors, teachers, students, government and Supreme Council representatives.
This year, about 1,200 students have graduated from the university, of which about 100 were awarded a special certificate for completing their studies with honors.
As part of the event, graduates of the healthcare field, dressed in white coats, traditionally took the oath of a doctor in a solemn atmosphere.
The graduation ceremony ended with the tossing the graduation caps into the air, a ceremonial cutting of a cake and fireworks.
The following participated in the festive programme: BSU band "OFF SIDE", individual performers and BSU choreographic ensemble "TBET"
