
The Jean Monnet Summer School “Political Criteria for EU Accession and Europeanization” has been opened at Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University.The Jean Monnet Chair, Professor Malkhaz Nakashidze, addressed the participants with a welcoming speech and spoke about the Jean Monnet Program.
The summer school is being held within the the “Erasmus+” program, in the framework of the Jean Monnet Module “Political Criteria for EU Accession and Europeanization of Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine”, funded by the European Union, which has been implemented at the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences since 2023.
The Jean Monnet Activities are designed to promote excellence in teaching and research in the field of European Union studies worldwide. 25 students from various universities are participating in the summer school. The summer school will last until July 31, and after the participants complete the program, they will be awarded international Jean Monnet certificates.
