The Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Georgia, Gareth Ward, and the Embassy’s Programmes Officer Nino Chikvania visited Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University.
During the meeting with BSU Rector Tite Aroshidze, the parties discussed prospects for strengthening cooperation between the university and higher education institutions in the United Kingdom.
The meeting focused on student and academic staff exchange programmes, as well as opportunities for research collaboration.
As part of the visit, the UK Ambassador met with students in an interactive format, where young people had the opportunity to ask questions and receive answers on topics of interest. The diplomatic representatives also toured the university library and inscribed verses from The Knight in the Panther’s Skin in the handwritten edition of the poem.
The meeting was also attended by Head of BSU International Relations Office Tamar Dunduа and Associate Professor Giga Partenadze.
