
July 15 is World Youth Skills Day! In connection with this event, a masterclass titled "What Skills is an Employer Looking For?" was successfully held at BSU's Center for Vocational Programs Management and Lifelong Learning.
The meeting was opened by Badri Gechbaia, Director of the BSU Center for Vocational Programs Management and Lifelong Learning. He spoke to the students about the necessity of such educational activities, raising career awareness among youth, developing competitive skills and preparing for modern labor market demands.
The masterclass was conducted by Meri Namgaladze, founder and director of marketing agency MPROF and the Batumi Business Club. She shared practical insights with participants regarding in-demand skills on the modern labor market and career development strategies.
The session covered topics such as shifts in the labor market, the impact of artificial intelligence and technology on employment, the importance of lifelong learning, the role of soft and hard skills and the significance of networking in creating professional opportunities.
In the practical section, participants used a personal SWOT analysis to evaluate their strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and challenges, helping them plan the next steps in their professional development.
